Global Probiotics Networking Evening 2026

Discovering the Latest Trends in Biotics

With so many of our partners already in Barcelona for Vitafoods Europe 2026, we saw the perfect opportunity to bring them together. On Tuesday, May 5th, we hosted the first edition of our Global Probiotics Networking Evening, an exclusive event designed to give partners and industry peers something we felt was genuinely missing: free, current, and validated insights on consumer trends and market data.

We brought in three experienced speakers to make it happen:

  • A Partner at a leading global management consulting firm presented “The Probiotics Market Outlook 2025–2028: Where Growth Will Come From”. The numbers tell a clear story: the global probiotics market is growing at approximately 8% annually, with dietary supplements emerging as the fastest-moving segment in the category. Looking at therapeutic areas, women’s health and metabolic disorders are outpacing the rest, a signal that consumers are increasingly seeking targeted, preventive solutions rather than general wellness support.
  • Ewa Hudson, Director of Insights at Lumina Intelligence, presented “Gen Z Wellness Rewritten: Mental Load, Microbiome Logic & the New Rules of Supplement Engagement”. Her key insight: the microbiome has become one of the most powerful concepts in wellness communication precisely because it bridges so many areas at once: mind, mood, hormones, gut health, and lifestyle. For brands, the opportunity lies in translating that complexity into clear, trustworthy, science-backed propositions that speak to consumers at different life stages. The findings shared were based on research conducted for Nutraingredients +.
  • Afif Ghannoum, Founder of CPG Radar, presented “The Probiotic Strain Landscape: Where Supply, Demand, and Momentum Collide”. The market is moving away from generic probiotic positioning; consumers and brands alike are demanding strain-specific, clinically validated solutions. The categories attracting the most commercial momentum right now are women’s wellness, prenatal and postnatal health, sleep and relaxation, and beauty-adjacent segments like hair, skin and nails. CPG Radar is a platform tracking innovation and commercial momentum across the nutraceutical and consumer packaged goods industries.

Three different perspectives, one consistent conclusion: the probiotics industry is moving toward more science-driven, targeted, and consumer-specific solutions, and that alignment is hard to ignore.

The evening wrapped up with a networking dinner and cocktails. A huge thank you to our speakers, to everyone who joined us, and to all those who helped make it possible. Scroll down to relive some of the best moments of the night through our photo gallery:
